Abstract

The development of digital transformation and sustainability demands encourages organizations to enhance employees’ digital competence to support green innovation performance. However, there remains a gap in digital capabilities and the implementation of environmentally friendly programs at PT. Pegadaian Cabang Blimbing, which potentially hinders the achievement of green innovation performance. This study aims to analyze the effect of digital competence on green innovation performance with organizational agility as a mediating variable. This research employs a quantitative approach with data collected through questionnaires distributed to employees of PT. Pegadaian Cabang Blimbing. Data analysis was conducted using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that digital competence has a positive and significant effect on organizational agility and green innovation performance. Organizational agility also has a positive effect on green innovation performance and is proven to significantly mediate the relationship between digital competence and green innovation performance. These findings emphasize that improving digital literacy, technology-based collaboration, and digital problem-solving capabilities can strengthen organizational agility in responding to changes and driving environmentally friendly innovation. The implications of this study highlight the importance of continuous digital competence development as a strategy to enhance agility and green innovation performance in supporting digital transformation and organizational sustainability.
