Abstract

The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology in English language training for youth at the Baptist Church Imanuel in Sinakma Wamena represents a strategic solution to address learning limitations in remote areas. This study aims to examine the potential of AI in enhancing language proficiency while expanding access to technology-based education. The research methods include observation, interviews, and post-test assessments. The results indicate a significant improvement in participants’ abilities, with an average post-test score of 80%, supported by a paired t-test result (p < 0.05).Approximately 79% of participants successfully integrated AI into their learning using tools such as ChatGPT, along with increased confidence in utilizing technology. However, challenges such as limited devices and unstable internet access remain. Most participants responded positively, with 86% indicating that the training was beneficial. Overall, the program proves effective in improving both English language competence and digital literacy, and it has strong potential to be developed further in similar community contexts.
