Abstract

AAccess to clean water is a basic human right. However, many people, especially in rural areas, still struggle to obtain clean water. Seeing this situation, we feel compelled to participate in efforts to improve the quality of life of the community through water pipe maintenance assistance activities. The assistance activities carried out in Juma Kancil Hamlet, Onan Lama Village, Pegagan Hilir District, Dairi Regency aim to provide the community with an understanding of the importance of maintaining cleanliness and maintaining water pipes so that they can function properly for a long time. Water pipe maintenance assistance for the community has the main goal of ensuring the availability of quality clean water on a sustainable basis. In addition, the objectives of this activity are: Increase public awareness of the importance of maintaining cleanliness and maintaining water pipes; Provide knowledge and skills to the community on how to properly maintain water pipes, from detecting damage to simple repairs; Form groups or communities for clean water management at the community level to ensure the sustainability of pipe maintenance; Prevent further pipe damage to reduce repair costs and water supply disruptions; Improve the community's quality of life by providing safe and healthy clean water. In Mentoring Activities that are usually carried out in water pipe maintenance mentoring include: Socialization, Training, Demonstrations, Group Formation and Monitoring and Evaluation
