Abstract

Child health is one of the important indicators in assessing the level of public health. Regular monitoring of the growth and development of toddlers is essential to detect early health problems and nutritional status issues in children. Posyandu, as a community-based health service, plays an important role in improving maternal and child health through growth monitoring and health education activities. This community service activity aimed to increase mothers' knowledge and awareness about the importance of health examinations and balanced nutrition for toddlers. The method used in this activity consisted of toddler health examinations and health education provided directly to mothers at the Posyandu in Lamblang Mayang Village, Darul Imarah District. The activity began with a preparation stage, including coordination with Posyandu cadres and village officials. This was followed by the implementation stage, which involved health examinations such as weighing and measuring the height of toddlers. After the examination, health education was delivered to mothers regarding the importance of balanced nutrition and healthy dietary patterns for toddlers. The results showed that community participation was quite good, and mothers were enthusiastic in participating in all activities. The health examination provided an overview of the toddlers' growth conditions, while the educational session improved mothers' understanding of the importance of monitoring child health and providing proper nutrition. This community service activity is expected to increase community awareness in maintaining toddler health and encourage active participation in Posyandu activities to improve children's health status sustainably.
