Abstract

This study aims to improve the capacity of imams, khatibs, and bilals in leading Tarawih prayers during Ramadan through a community-based training model in Tanjung Putus Village. The program was designed to strengthen religious understanding, improve recitation accuracy, and enhance confidence in performing religious duties. The method used was community service through training activities that combined theoretical explanations and direct practice. Participants included mosque administrators, youth, and community members who actively take roles in religious activities. The training process involved delivering materials on prayer procedures, recitation correction, sermon delivery, and practical simulations guided by facilitators. The results showed that participants experienced significant improvement in their ability to lead prayers, perform recitations correctly, and deliver sermons with better structure and clarity. Participants also demonstrated increased confidence and enthusiasm in carrying out their roles in the mosque. The training strengthened cooperation among community members and encouraged greater participation in religious activities. This program proves that community-based training can be an effective way to improve religious competence and build stronger social bonds within the village.
